Murano Glass Jewelry - More Than 500 Years Of History

I begin with: "Did you know?" ... But the beautiful jewels in Murano glass is known around the world!

Murano Glass and especially Murinas handcrafted in jewelry are handmade in the Venetian workshops using a 500 years old technique. For this reason, the jewels are not completely identical, the differences of colors and floral patterns makes each piece unique, with its own personality.

Now remember what I said our first customer (perhaps?) Who bought a ring:

"The ring is beautiful: it's colorful, it suits me and makes me special I wanted!"

But ... Why is that Murano glass? What happens in the Venetian workshops for hundreds of years?

The Italians are a passionate people. They love so much passion, cook and eat a frenzy, they argue all the time, living with all my heart every moment of life. I think this is why Italy has given the world's greatest artists.

It takes passion to create a mountain of Millefiori patterns!

It 's time to say: "Once upon a time ..." and as the story begins:

It takes a bit 'of molten glass from metal bars 1.5 m long

Repeatedly dipping into pots of molten glass of different colors, the volume of mass increase in a body composed of layers of glass of different colors.

This mass of glass that is pressed into a mold shaped like a star or a flower, to obtain the final form of the model.

Spread the last layer of a glass cylinder. Then the metal pole second petal is connected at one end of the mass of glass.

Two workers of glass in the glass to pull in opposite directions, forming long, thin rod.

All these maneuvers are performed with skill and passion that the glass is hot and malleable. When long glass rods are cooled they can be cut into segments of different lengths, thus obtaining murrinas.

In Romania, the piece of Murano glass jewelry is used by the collections which have been appreciated worldwide. Today, the trends seem to pick the valuable pieces, but not everyone knows the story and the real value of authentic Murano glass.

Alan K jewelry designer created the Luxury Collection, which brings to perfection the art glass masters. He used a rhodium-plated silver, genuine Murano glass, scratch-resistant resin, and a lot of imagination. Considered a surprise, and talking with Alan K. ... in the next article.
